Homer City Borough’s Main Street Revitalization Project will get underway next week.
In a media release from borough manager Robert Nymick, work will start with the gas line replacement starting at the post office on North Main Street and moving on the west side of Main Street to the intersection of South Main and Wiley Streets. When that’s complete, gas line replacement will start on the east side of the street from Wiley to Miller Avenue. Sidewalk replacement will start the week of March 6th.
All the work is weather dependent, and the borough is warning everyone that there will be some traffic and utility disruptions throughout the project. While parking will be limited during the project’s construction phase, all businesses will have public access to their establishments.
