IRMC unveiled three more pieces of its Centennial Building Project on Thursday, February 16. The Kovalchick Family Intensive Care Unit, S&T Bank Ambulatory Care Unit, and the Reschini Group Endoscopy Suite are now complete and operational. These three units comprised Phase II of IRMC’s $50 million Centennial Building construction project and follow the opening of seven new OR suites, visitor elevators, and a 15-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit last year.
“Our ability to provide the highest levels of care in the region are now unparalleled,” said Stephen A. Wolfe, President & CEO of IRMC. “Our commitment to technology and superior facilities will serve our patients for years to come. The people of this region will benefit from our ability to provide high quality care and remain close to home.”
Heather Reed, Executive Director for IRMC’s Healthcare Foundation, also announced that they surpassed their Centennial Capital Campaign goal of $5 million.
“I am extremely excited to share this wonderful news with our community – the very people that made the commitment to invest in this project and the future of IRMC,” said Reed, Executive Director of IRMC Healthcare Foundation. “Ensuring the future of patient care would not have been possible without the support of so many individuals and businesses. I am so grateful for the support of our community and proud to announce that we exceeded our $5 million goal for our Centennial Capital Campaign!”
Centennial Capital Campaign Chair and IRMC Board Chair Joe Reschini added, “The community once again stepped up in support of IRMC with a successful capital campaign. I believe this shows that the local residents and businesses recognize the importance of a strong, vibrant IRMC.”
Due to regulatory restraints and a need to continue to provide care, there will be no public open houses for these units. They are prepared to begin providing care after DOH certification on February 28, 2017.
