Today is a day for kids and their families as the Children’s Advisory Commission of Indiana County will hold their annual Family Fun Fest at the Indiana Mall.
Activities start at 10:00 today at the mall and this year’s theme is “Space”. Family fun fest will feature over 50 tables of crafts, games, information and activities, a Petting Zoo from the 4-h, the new story Sensory Integration room, a food court, and in keeping with the space theme, the Carnegie Science Center will bring their mobile planetarium and there’s also a “travel to mars” experience as well.
Carnegie Science Center will also host “Solar Quest” at 11:00 AM at the Mall’s Center Stage. Some of the more traditional activities include the Parent-Child Look-alike contest at noon, a performance from magician David Lawrence at 1:00, and a Tae Kwon Do demonstration from ATA and Karate for Kids at 2:00.
Activities are for everyone, but the recommended age is 2-10 years old. Kids have to be accompanied by an adult. Activities will go until 3:00 today.
