State Police from the Indiana Barracks say that a Creekside man stole over $8,000 from a Clymer man.
Police say the initial theft happened between December 21st and February 13th at a home on Dixon Road in Clymer Borough. The victim, identified only as a 52-year-old man from Clymer reported his debit card was stolen and several thousand dollars were missing from his bank checking account. Police were able to investigate and determine that 22-year-old Adam Drylie of Creekside stole the debit card from the house and used it to withdraw $8281. When police interviewed Drylie, he said he used the money to pay off debts he owed to drug dealers.
Charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and access device fraud are pending. The charges were filed at District Judge George Thachick’s office.
