Indiana Borough will receive over $1.3 million in American Rescue Plan funds, and Tuesday night’s borough council meeting covered some of the uses for that money that were determined by the borough’s committees.
The ideas range from boiler repairs for the Community Center, to purchasing police vehicles, expanding the Inhabit Indiana program, sidewalk repairs, and donations to Downtown Indiana and Citizens Ambulance. A list of twenty ideas was presented to the entire council, and the next step is to continue to whittle that list down. Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said that there is still an opportunity for the public to give their input.
