The Kindergarten through 12th Grade gifted support coordinator for the Indiana School District is now a finalist for an educator excellence award in the area of computer science.
Elizabeth Woods was named the finalist for the 2022 Computer Science for All Pennsylvania’s Exemplary Educator Award. State Lead for the CS-in-PA Initiative Sara Frey said that Woods was selected “for her dedication to expanding (computer science) for all students, not just students in her caseload.” In her current role for the district , Woods provides computer science instruction to students who receive enrichment in STEM education as part of the gifted individualized education plan services.
The award will be presented at the annual CS-for-all-PA Summit later this month in Harrisburg.
