The Indiana School Board will discuss a university partnership agreement and security camera proposals at their meeting tonight.
Tonight’s agenda for the meeting includes a proposal from the buildings, grounds and transportation committee to approve an agreement with DIRECTEC, LLC to install additional security cameras at the high school at a cost of $76,798.25. The board will also consider an agreement for solicitor services with Ronald Repak, Esq., and Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter and Graham, LLP as the district’s solicitors. This will be a renewal of services with the district solicitor and there is no proposed increase in prices.
The agreement on the agenda for a university partnership is for Saint Francis University, and will allow the administration to facilitate field experiences and student teaching placements where appropriate.
The board will also get an update on the Eisenhower Elementary Project, approve extra duty-extra pay assignments connected with the three senior high drama shows, and hire a new behavioral and mental health coordinator and school psychologist.
The meeting starts at 7:00 PM at the District Board room. The meeting will also be streamed through the district’s website.
The Purchase Line School Board will also meet tonight for their regular meeting. On the agenda is the approval an addendum of the agreement for security services. The addendum deals with how people are identified. Unarmed security officers will be recognized as “event staff”, and they will be considered security services for the district. Their wage will be $22 an hour for the remainder of the contract. The board will also seek to approve a resolution concerning the district and the STEAM Lending Library consortium through ARIN and to continue the district’s participation in it, at a cost of $100 for this school year.
The board will meet at 7 and is also available for streaming on their website.
