Some residents in a Murrysville neighborhood are nervous about a bear.
The large bear has been showing up in residents’ yards on numerous occasions, beginning about a month ago. So far the bear has gone after bird feeders and areas where food is prepared outdoors.
The state game commission is advising residents of the Settlers Ridge neighborhood to take down outdoor bird feeders, store trash inside and clean outdoor grills after using them. Once people take away food sources, the game commission may come back and attempt to trap the bear.
