IUP claimed its 19th PSAC Championship on Saturday after downing undefeated Shepherd, 24-21, at George P. Miller Stadium.

Both teams were similar in total yardage. Shepherd tallied 357 yards of total offense, while IUP posted 353. The difference came as IUP limited the Rams to 53 rushing yards while tallying 184 yards on the ground.
Additionally, the IUP defense forced Harlon Hill candidate Tyson Bagent to commit two interceptions in the game.
Mak Sexton went 19-for-29 passing with 169 yards and three touchdowns, earning Player of the Game honors. Adam Houser netted 142 yards on 21 carries.
Dan Deabner, Dayjure Stewart and Cole Laney each had a recieving touchdown.
Up next for IUP is the Atlantic Regional tournament, with pairings coming out tomorrow.
