The Homer-Center Wildcats football team continues to prepare for the P.I.A.A. District 6 Championship Game tonight in Altoona and they will get a special sendoff this afternoon.
Borough of Homer City officials are asking residents to line the streets from the school along North Main Street beginning at 1:45 p.m. The team is scheduled to depart Homer-Center High School at 2:00 p.m. with a special escort provided by the Borough of Homer City Police and the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department.
Borough Manager Rob Nymick encourages residents and all
Wildcats fans to support the team by lining the streets, and
bringing signs of support. Again the team is scheduled to depart
at 2:00 PM and the escort will take them from the school up
North Main Street to the traffic light at 119 and 56. If you can’t make the trip to Altoona, you will be able to hear the game beginning at 6 PM from Mansion Park in Altoona on WCCS AM-1160, FM 101.1, or on your computer or mobile device by logging on to wccsradio.com
