Three hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas, including a motions hearing for an Allegheny County man charged with drug trafficking in connection with an incident at a hotel near Blairsville on July 1st.
36-year-old David Lee Walker, Jr. of North Versailles faces felony charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility along with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia. State troopers and members of the Indiana Borough Police Department went to the Days Inn on Route 22 after they were tipped off by an informant on some drug activity. When they got to Walker’s room, they were able to recover some heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana from a toilet after they heard it flush.
Walker is also due for Criminal Call on June 2nd.
Also on the docket, a Plea Court session for an Indiana man who faces charges in two cases. Police charged 19-year-old Ian Cordale Buterbaugh with criminal trespass-entering a structure, burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal use of a communications facility for an incident on January 20th. Police said that day that he stole several items from the home and tried to sell them. Police found him on February 5th in a vehicle near Clymer’s Dollar General Store.
In the other case, Buterbaugh faces charges of DUI, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, and a summary traffic-related offense for an incident on February 2nd.
