Only one 911 call was reported on Monday in Indiana County, and that was for a reported vehicle fire in Burrell Township.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were called out yesterday at 4:32 PM to Resort Plaza Drive for the vehicle fire. Black Lick fire officials said on the department’s Facebook page that a tractor-trailer truck’s brakes had caught fire at the intersection of Resort Plaza Drive and Route 22. Bystanders were able to use two dry-chemical fire extinguishers to make some progress before fire crews arrived to put the fire out completely.
No injuries were reported.
Crews are also busy this morning in Westmoreland County, as Saltsburg, Tunnelton, and Iselin-West Lebanon Fire departments were dispatched at 6:20 this morning for a reported structure fire on Allegheny Avenue in Avonmore, Westmoreland County. Ten minutes later, the Coal Run-McIntyre fire department was called in to standby for the Tunnelton fire department.
