Contrary to rumors circulating online, the Marion Center School District is not planning on changing their education plan for now.
Superintendent Clint Weimer said that while the district is continuing to look at statistics every day, they are going to stay with their current educational format.
In business from last night’s meeting, the school board approved revisions to the district’s Health and Safety plan, which will be posted on the district’s website. The board also approved amending several board policies ranging from bullying and cyberbullying to educator misconduct to livestream video. The board also approved new policies dealing with Trauma-Informed Approach, Dating Violence, Tele-work, School Security Personnel, maintaining educator/student boundaries in a digital education environment, and educational equity.
