Go to any Penguins hockey game and you will see tons of people in team jerseys. Just in time to make their way under Christmas trees, the NHL yesterday unveiled new alternate jerseys for all 31 teams. The new Pens’ alternate jersey is white, with “Pittsburgh” spelled diagonally from shoulder to waist, and the iconic “skating Penguin” on the shoulders.
The NHL says the new jerseys are part of its “Reverse Retro program”. It’s the first time since the 1996-97 season that the Penguins will have the diagonal “Pittsburgh” on their jerseys.
