Pennsylvania State Police said Friday that Troopers are continuing to investigate the theft of $2,100 in U.S. currency from the White Township Walmart.
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
As reported on Sunday, State Police investigated a theft at the White Township Walmart store that occurred on Jan. 17. Two women got away with 21 one-hundred dollar bills from the service desk. The two suspects entered the store and about a half-hour later, they approached the customer service desk with a $20 gift card. The suspects then handed the cashier a $50 bill and the cashier opened the cash register drawer. While the cashier’s hand was in the drawer, the first suspect reached into the drawer. The cashier then pulled out numerous $100 bills. The first suspect grabbed the bills and the second suspect began waving her hands and talking to the cashier in an apparent attempt to distract her.
Ultimately, the first suspect placed the $100 bills, altogether totaling $2,100, into her pocket. The cashier then placed the remaining money back into the drawer and the two females exited the store. The suspects then fled in a black Dodge Caravan, which exited the parking lot while being driven in reverse the length of the parking lot and into the lane of traffic.
