While there were no brush fires reported on Tuesday, Indiana County’s first responders were still active with a few calls, including a vehicle fire in North Mahoning Township.
The Marion Center fire department was dispatched at 5:04 PM for what was initially reported by Indiana County 911 as a vehicle fire on Marshall Road in North Mahoning Township. When they got to the scene of the fire, they found that a tractor had caught fire. No word on the extent of the damage to the tractor or any surrounding property.
Indiana Fire Association had to deal with two automatic fire alarms yesterday. The first was at 12:32 PM for a property on Warren Road in White Township. The second was at 4:17 PM at a property on Church Street in Indiana Borough.
Blairsville fire crews were also called out twice yesterday. On the first call, they were joined by Black Lick fire fighters for a physical rescue on Morewood Avenue in Blairsville Borough. For the second call, Blairsville firefighters were dispatched to Route 22 in Westmoreland County for a reported vehicle accident. Citizens Ambulance was also on the scene for that call.
