The Pitt Panthers were competitive for a time against Duke yesterday, but they were again outgunned, failing to stop the Blue Devils offense and committing numerous penalties as they lost, 30-19. Pitt fell to 3-8 in their season finale.
Afterward, Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi, who went through three starting quarterbacks this season before settling on Nate Yarnell, shouldered the blame for the season. “It starts with me,” said Narduzzi. “I didn’t get it done.”
When asked what his takeaways from the season were, he said, “There are 14 pages of takeaways. It’s a long list of things that we have to clean up.”
