
Several sentencing hearings are scheduled today in Indiana County Court, including one for a man charged in a stabbing incident in August of last year.
Colt Snyder of Dayton, 20, will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco today for his sentencing. He pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the incident on August 29th in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue. Indiana Borough police reported at the time that a 23-year-old man was taken to IRMC for treatment, and about a month later, charges were filed against Snyder. Charges of attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon were disposed at the lower courts.
Also due in court today for a sentencing hearing is 37-year-old Krista Nicole Long of Rochester Mills, who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for an incident on May 9th of 2019. Two other charges were not prosecuted.
