At their meeting earlier today, the Indiana County Commissioners approved a bid to help repair the Mile Hill Section of the Hoodlebug Trail.
Indiana County Parks and Trails Director Ed Patterson said the lowest bid offered came from HRI, Inc. at an amount of $212,620.70 and it includes repairs to drainage and erosion control measures within that section of the trail.
Patterson added that the grant is well above the project budget.
In other business, the Commissioners approved a $50,000 CARES Act Revolving Loan Fund that will go to NCK, Inc. to aid Wolfendale’s in Downtown Indiana. With t he approval, full-time and part-time jobs will be created to keep the restaurant open. The Commissioners also approved the Business Grant Award recipients that will earn funds through CHIRP that totals $950,000.
