Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft from a store in Clymer that happened late last week. Troopers say that lawn furniture was stolen from the Antique and Gift Emporium on Franklin Street in Clymer Borough on either Friday, June 4th or Saturday, June 5th. The furniture is described as high density table and bench-style chairs that were light red or tan in color. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call state police at 724-357-1960.
State police are investigating an identity theft that happened in Homer City on June 4th. Police said on that day, the victim, identified only as a 65-year-old woman from Homer City, had her Social Security number stolen and the thief tried to use it to file a claim for unemployment. The unemployment office contacted the victim, and the victim contacted the authorities. No money was lost in this incident.
