Multiple fire crews were on the scene of a structure fire at a two-store complex on Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township.
Indiana County 911 dispatched Black Lick, Blairsville, Indiana, Coral-Graceton, Coal Run/McIntyre and Armagh/East Wheatfield firefighters along with Derry Township fire fighters to the Advance Auto Parts store near Blairsville at 5:42 this morning. Fire crews reported heavy smoke and fire in the Advance Auto Parts side of the building. Homer City Fire Department has also been dispatched to standby for Black Lick fire crews.

Officials with the Advance Auto Parts store believe the fire may have started in an air conditioning unit on the roof of the building. Blairsville Fire Department Communications Spokesman Ab Detorre said that the fire did start in the roof, but the exact cause has not yet been confirmed. State Police Fire Marshals have been brought in to investigate the cause. Detorre credited the number of fire departments responding with how fast crews were able to knock down the fire.
Fire crews from Derry, Homer City, Brush Valley, Iselin/West Lebanon and Clymer were called out to standby for crews on the scene, and Latrobe fire department brought their ventilation truck to the scene to assist. Latrobe fire department also assisted on-scene with their ventilation truck. There were no reported injuries and no one was in the building at the time of the fire.
