At its meeting on Monday, the Marion Center School Board passed its 2021-2022 budget without a tax increase for district residents.
The budget tops out at $27,040,365 with real estate taxes remaining at 11.9631 mills. Superintendent Clint Weimer said that there were some slight adjustments between May, when the budget was given preliminary approval, and last night.
In other business, the board also approved the district’s health and safety plan for next year. The district is looking forward to a “business as usual” opening for the next school year. Masks will be optional for students in the district.
The board also approved an agreement with IUP for student teaching, and accepted a quote from East American for paving in the district at a cost of $13,495.25.
