UPDATE: The cancellations continue this morning for Spirit Airlines at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport.
Reports say that as of this morning, there were cancelled flights from Latrobe to Orlando, Myrtle Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Pittsburgh also saw cancellations on both arrivals and departures, with flights to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Cancun cancelled, along with flights from Cancun and Myrtle Beach to Pittsburgh.
Flightaware.com reports now that over 280 flights have been cancelled and over 50 have been delayed.

If you have a flight booked on Spirit Airlines out of Latrobe or Pittsburgh today, you’d better check with the airline before you leave for the airport.
Citing “weather and operational challenges” while denying that a rumored strike by pilots is a factor, Spirit canceled a number of flights Sunday and Monday. A Spirit spokesperson said, “We needed to make proactive cancellations to some flights…but the majority of flights are still scheduled.”
Yesterday, Spirit canceled flights from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport to Fort Lauderdale and to Orlando and delayed flights to Myrtle Beach. On Sunday, flights from Latrobe to Myrtle Beach and Orlando were canceled.
The website Flightaware.com reported that 227 Spirit flights were canceled yesterday and 58 others were delayed. The airline spokesperson said it is “working around the clock” to get the service fully restored.
