Three people were injured in a DUI crash that happened late Monday night. State Police say this happened around 11:00 PM on Cypress Road just south of Lovejoy Road in Green Township.
58-year-old Charles Lantz of Commodore was going north on Cypress Road when he lost control of the car he was driving on a left curve. He went off the road on the right side, and swerved back onto the road, but eventually went off the left side of the road, hitting an embankment. The car rolled onto its roof and spun around before coming to rest off the right side of the roadway.
Lantz was injured but the severity of his injuries was not known. His passengers, 50-year-old Brenda Bennett, also of Commodore, and an 8-year-old boy had suspected minor injuries. All three were taken to IRMC for treatment. Lantz faces a charge of DUI.
