State police have not named the suspect who is accused of printing fake checks and unsuccessfully attempting to cash them at three different S&T Bank branches.
The suspect is a 27-year-old man. Police say he tried on December 6th to cash the checks in Indiana, Irwin, and Verona and failed each time. The investigation continues.

An Indiana man is facing a charge of theft by deception for accepting half of a construction estimate but never starting the work. Indiana Borough police say 32-year-old Tony Busija was paid in July to work at a home on the 600 block of Chestnut Street.

A Pittsburgh man is charged by Indiana Borough police with possession of a controlled substance, of marijuana, and of drug paraphernalia. Police say 20-year-old James Taylor-Lane had Xanax, a small amount of marijuana, and drug items in his possession on December 12th on North Foundry Avenue.
