Farmers across Pennsylvania are getting some help with retirement planning, as the Wolf Administration and the Penn State Extension announced yesterday that they plan on launching a free, online program that will help them learn about investment strategies, fraud awareness, planning, budgeting and saving for the future.
Katrina Boyer, the Investor Education Coordinator for the PA Department of Banking and Securities said in a news release that appropriate planning for retirement is “important for all Pennsylvanians,” and she adds that regardless of one’s livelihood, ensuring that one has saved enough to adequately support their families and themselves can “help ensure stress-free days throughout your retirement.”
Two sessions are in the works. One is scheduled for today and it will focus on budgeting, planning and saving. That will run from 10 to 11 a.m.
The next will focus on retirement planning. That will take place on Sept. 16.
The programs are free and open to the public; however one must register to take part. Registration links can be found below.
