Another major organization has made a large contribution to the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
FirstEnergy, the parent company of Penelec, was a part of the Teddy Bear Fund drive in 2015 as one of the sponsors of the B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert. The concert was not held this year due to the untimely death of B.E. Taylor in August. The FirstEnergy Foundation, the company’s charitable arm, decided to support the Teddy Bear Fund Drive by making a $3000 contribution today.
Bill Uhlig, the external manager of FirstEnergy, said it was still an important contribution to make as it helps with the care of children on a local level.
The Teddy Bear Fund Drive, which benefts IRMC Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, is still going on and you can make your contributions to the campaign by sending them to “Teddy Bear Fund Drive” c/o Renda Broadcasting, 840 Philadelphia Street, Suite 100, Indiana, PA 15701.
