With an increasing number of covid-19 infections, West Shamokin High School has closed to in-person instruction while the building undergoes a deep cleaning. It’s the second time the school has gone virtual since the start of the school year on August 25th.
Students were taught virtually yesterday and will be again today, with the school building scheduled to reopen tomorrow. The open house scheduled tonight will also be conducted virtually. There has been no announcement regarding tomorrow night’s football game at West Shamokin against Homer-Center.
The Armstrong School District has not updated its covid-19 dashboard since September 2nd. At that time, it showed 11 active cases at West Shamokin.
