State Representative Jim Struzzi says the House will be back in session on Monday, with a number of items on the agenda, including the Wolf administration’s statewide mask mandate for all schools. Struzzi says the House will also consider an extension of the disaster emergency declaration Wolf made after Hurricane Ida, and it will be the first time the General Assembly will consider an emergency extension since the state Constitution was amended last spring to limit a governor’s emergency authorization to a maximum of 21 days before the legislature can halt it or extend it.
Other agenda items include regulatory waivers and suspensions that have been in effect since the start of the pandemic, and work is scheduled on the opioid crisis that has re-emerged across the commonwealth.
The Senate returns this week too, with a heavy committee meeting schedule.
