As the temperatures turn colder, the leaves continue to turn color and soon, Indiana County’s leaves will be at their peak colors.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Indiana County is close to peak colors, but not quite there yet. They anticipate that peak colors will arrive in about a week or so. Meanwhile, the nearby counties of Jefferson, Clearfield and Westmoreland are reporting that leaves are now at their best color, along with most of the northern tier of the state.

DCNR says that the cold front coming through this weekend should drive a vibrant boom of additional color to the leaves in the state.
As the leaves fall, though, drivers are reminded to be wary of leaves on wet roads, as they can act like ice and cause you to skid out of control.
