State police are investigating a theft that happened on November 29th . Police say that at 11:00 that morning, someone called the state police to report a theft of a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber gun and an S&T Bank Debit card from a motor vehicle belonging to a 44-year-old Homer City in the area of Barkley Church Road and Mardis Road in Buffington Township.
Police are investigating a case of shoplifting at the White Township Walmart on November 15th. Police say at 4:01 PM, an unknown suspect took a HiSense TV from the store. Few other details are available on the theft.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Police in Indiana Borough are asking the public to help them with a hit-and-run investigation that happened Wednesday evening. Police say that the crash was reported to police at 8:34 PM in the 1200 block of Oakland Avenue. Police discovered that an awning attached to a business was hit and the suspect left the parking lot headed in an unknown direction. The suspect is described by police as a black man in his late 30s, six feet one inch tall, with a bald head. He was seen wearing a black jacket, black cargo pants, and a black shirt with an “atomic” logo on it. The vehicle involved was a single-axle U-Haul box truck. Anyone with information on the crash can call police at 724-349-2121.
A traffic stop turned into a drug bust on Wednesday morning in Indiana Borough. Borough police say that at 8:11 AM, they pulled over a vehicle for running a stop sign in the 400 block of Locust Street. During the stop, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Jacob Kelly of Indiana, was found to be in possession of heroin. Police also discovered that his license was suspended. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
