A Clearfield County man was ordered to serve time in state prison for sex-related crimes.
In Indiana County Court this morning, 64-year-old Manas Lee of Westover was convicted on six counts of rape and one count of sexual intercourse with an animal. The charges are for multiple incidents that reportedly happened between 2000 and 2015. Lee was ordered to serve a total of 20 to 50 years in state prison for his guilty plea, while six counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a minor were not prosecuted. He was also deemed a sexually violent predator, meaning that If he is released from prison, he must register as a sexually violent predator for the rest of his life.
Also sentenced this morning was 27-year-old Storm Arbogast, who was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a case in late September of last year. He had fired a shot at someone in an apartment building on South Third Street in White Township that missed the victim. As the victim tried to leave, Arbogast kicked him down the steps. He was ordered to serve nine months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail.
