With reports saying that Governor Josh Shapiro could be a running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Austin Davis could find himself in Shapiro’s position.
Shapiro has not said if he would accept being Harris’ running mate, but with Harris submitting vetting documents to possible candidates earlier this week, one being to Shapiro, Davis said he’s ready to take over if called upon. He also expressed his excitement if Shapiro were to join Harris’ campaign.
Shapiro told reporters that he talked with Harris after President Joe Biden announced he was backing out of the election, but he said at the time that the conversation focused on beating former President Donald Trump.
